Software exports from India touched a record high of Rs 2,22,360 Crore (USD 50 billion approxmiately) in the financial year 2008 09. This 21% growth over previous financial year is recorded at times when world is struggling to stay float in recession.

Chennai tops the chart followed by Bangalore at number 2.
National capital is at number 3, thanks to rampage by private bus and truck owners.
Ahmedabad has safest roads in India. Followed by Bhopal and Vadodara.

31% or 535 of 1754 road victims in India are from Chennai.
60% road accident victims are from 3 cities, Chennai, Bangalore and Delhi.
76% accidents involve private buses and trucks. (govt vehicles cause only 24%)
